NYC Health Loneliness Campaign

In 2022, 1 in 3 New Yorkers experienced loneliness and isolation.

Background: In New York City loneliness had become an epidemic. Loneliness has serious effects on physical and mental health, but often goes undiagnosed and untreated because it’s not usually self-reported and can be difficult for friends and family to notice.

Solution : By framing loneliness with the importance of illnesses, and helping people look for and recognize loneliness we create a campaign and movement that asserts the seriousness of the issue while illustrating the ease and effectiveness of solving it.

Execution: By using shapes, we create an unexpected and universal template that breaks the norm of “people photography” and becomes instantly recognizable, approachable, appealing, and memorable.
